Well it’s all very exciting! My horses and I are on the move!

This time to Northern Germany to train with Markus in his new yard in the Oldenburg region of Germany. I’m going for a couple of months, it seems to make sense as my new stables will not be ready until May.

The timing is perfect as Rocco is now four, he’s feeling physically stronger so he’s ready to experience a new environment, Domino ideally is ready to compete at advanced medium as soon as we find an appropriate show, and then there’s Duke who is recovering really well from his injury, we are now coming to the end of his fitness Work and ready to start proper work.

It’s a great opportunity to focus on my three horses, to speak a little German and to get a feel for the German culture. Germany is home to so many fantastic trainers, riders and horses. I think the next weeks will be full of challenges and I can honestly say I can’t wait to get started.

Whilst I am away I am hoping to go and watch some CDI Grand Prix competitions, it’s a great time of year to go because of the Auctions you never know I might even find my next horse!

My horses arrived in Germany at the end of last week and I am missing them like crazy. I leave Thursday and will be driving over with the help of my Dad; I hope I will survive driving on the other side of the road!

Before I go there’s a lot to sort out here, I need to finalise my stable plan at the new yard so they can crack on whilst I am away. I’m planning to fly home on a regular basis so that I can keep up with my teaching.

Last but not least I have to pack which I hate. As soon as I settle in next week I will update you with pictures and let you know how it’s all going.
